Intro:

Svoon resources have implemented a number of solutions to support law firms in
managing the full client and matter lifecycle across multiple jurisdictions. This includes
client onboarding, client due diligence (CDD), conflict checks, risk assessment, matter
setup, collaboration, and performance reporting. The programme being an enabler for
firms to meet regulatory and compliance obligations while strengthening client
relationships and improving operational efficiency.

Need / Problem:

Multi-jurisdiction law firms operate in complex regulatory environments and must
comply with varying anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF),
and professional conduct requirements. Client onboarding and matter management
processes are often fragmented, time-consuming, and inconsistent including pricing and
billing across jurisdictions. Firms face challenges in conducting reliable client due
diligence (CDD), managing conflicts of interest, monitoring client activity, coordinating
global teams, and maintaining accurate records. Limited visibility across offices and
practices can hinder effective client service, risk management, and business
development.

Our Approach/Impact of Delivery:

Our consultants streamlined the client matter lifecycle for a global legal law firm. We
centralized client onboarding, document access, and conflict checking across 21 firms,
each with different processes and systems. We implemented a unified client matter
operations solution that reduced time spent on client due diligence and matter opening,
increasing revenue and profit per partner across firms. We also enhanced collaboration
through shared access to expertise and data, enabling smoother service delivery and the
expansion of client services. By simplifying these processes, we helped the firm respond
